Frameo: Share to photo frames

Frameo solves a problem that mostly affects grandparents. Photographs of the grandchildren exist in enormous numbers and live entirely on phones, behind apps and accounts that the people who would most enjoy them do not use and do not want to learn. A Frameo WiFi frame sits on their sideboard and simply shows pictures, and this app is how those pictures get there. You send from your phone, wherever in the world you happen to be, and the photograph appears on the frame within seconds. There is nothing for the recipient to do: no account, no notification to open, no app to update. They glance at the shelf and the picture from your holiday in Spain is already there. Ten photos can go at once, and short video clips of up to fifteen seconds are supported as well, which carries a child's laugh in a way a still image cannot. Several frames can be connected, so one send reaches both sets of grandparents and an aunt at the same time. Frames can also be turned into a smart calendar, marking the dates that matter to the household. The app is free, and the frames themselves are the product you buy once. It is technology arranged the right way round: complexity on the sender's side, simplicity where it is needed.
