Veo - Shared Electric Vehicles

Veo covers the part of a journey that public transport handles badly: the mile or two between a station and where you are actually going, which is too far to walk comfortably and too short to justify a car. Shared e-scooters, bikes and e-bikes are placed around a city, and the app shows where the nearest one is. Using it takes three steps. Find a vehicle on the map, scan its QR code to unlock it, or type the ID number if the camera is being difficult, and ride. When you arrive, park in one of the designated zones shown in the app and end the ride, either by tapping the button or pushing the lever on the bike lock. The fare stops there. Parking zones are worth taking seriously rather than treating as a suggestion. Shared vehicles abandoned across pavements are the reason cities restrict or ban these schemes, and the zones exist to keep them workable. Having a choice of vehicle types is genuinely useful: an e-bike suits a longer or hillier trip, a regular bike costs less, and a scooter fits a short hop. Coverage varies by city, and the app shows which vehicles are available where you are.
