ResortPass is built on an observation that seems obvious once stated: hotels have pools, spas, private beaches and gyms that sit half empty on weekdays, and plenty of people would happily pay to use them for a day without booking a room. The app sells exactly that. You browse hotels and resorts near you, choose the amenity or experience you want, and book a day pass. Over thirteen hundred hotels across more than two hundred and fifty cities and twenty seven countries participate, with prices starting around twenty five dollars, so this is not exclusively a luxury proposition. Several situations suit it particularly well. A day by a hotel pool costs a fraction of a night's stay and delivers most of what people actually want from a resort. Families with children get somewhere to spend a hot day that is not a crowded public pool. Remote workers can book workspace access at a hotel rather than another cafe. Anyone with a long layover or a late flight can shower, swim and wait somewhere pleasant. Travellers can also use it in their own city, which is the point the company makes repeatedly: a holiday feeling without the travel, the packing or the hotel bill.
