It works as your default SMS app, so everything already stored on your phone appears without importing, and nothing is moved or copied anywhere. One point deserves a plain statement rather than marketing language. SMS is a network protocol operated by your mobile carrier, and messages sent over it are not end-to-end encrypted no matter which app displays them. Any app promising that for ordinary text messages is describing something the underlying technology does not provide. What a good SMS app can offer is speed, clarity and a private, ad-light interface on your own device, and that is a fair description of this one.
