Easy Voice Recorder is a straightforward recorder for everyday use: lectures and classes, meetings and interviews, quick voice memos or a band rehearsal. There is no cap on recording length, and a compressed format keeps long sessions small. Recording runs in the background, starts from a home-screen widget or shortcut, and even works from a Wear OS watch.

Presets switch the app between voice notes, meetings and lectures, and music or raw sound; you can save to PCM, MP4 or space-saving AMR. On playback you can speed up or slow down the audio and skip silent stretches, and recordings can be searched, organised, sent by email or messenger, or set as a ringtone. Speech-to-text runs on the device itself, so nothing leaves the phone; the feature is in beta and understands English, Spanish and Portuguese.

Students, journalists, musicians and anyone who thinks out loud will find it useful. The app is free; the free version limits transcription time per recording, and the Pro version unlocks full transcripts. No internet connection is needed to record.
