Extreme Car Driving Simulator

Extreme Car Driving Simulator puts a sports car into a free-roaming city. The game has been around since 2014 and builds its feel on a detailed physics engine. There are no rivals to beat and no police chasing you, so the whole map becomes a playground for fast runs, long drifts and stunts.

A checkpoint mini-game gives the driving a goal, and you can also cruise among regular traffic. The dashboard shows revs, gear and speed, while ABS, traction control and stability control are simulated and can be switched off. Crashes leave visible damage on the car, and several camera angles let you pick a view. Controls include an on-screen wheel, tilting the device or arrow buttons, and a gamepad is supported.

It suits players who enjoy exploring an open map and perfecting drifts more than racing by strict rules. Neither an account nor extra hardware is required, though a reasonably capable phone gives the smoothest picture. Rated for 3+.
