FilGoal

FilGoal is the mobile app of one of Egypt's best-known sports websites, published by Sarmady. It brings together news, results and fixtures from Egyptian, African and international tournaments, with detailed analysis and interviews with players and coaches. Football is the main subject, and all content is written in Arabic.

The strongest part is live coverage: matches are followed minute by minute, and statistics are available before, during and after each game. Selected teams from the major competitions get their own live feeds. The app also carries video highlights and the site's own productions, and readers can comment on news and analysis directly from the phone. A match widget shows scores in the notification area, so you can keep an eye on a game without opening the app.

It suits fans of Egyptian and Arab football who want their news from a local source rather than a global aggregator. An internet connection is required for news updates and live match feeds.
