Format support is where this gallery separates itself. Alongside the obvious JPEG, PNG and GIF it handles panoramas, RAW files and video in MP4 and MKV, which covers two groups the default gallery usually lets down: photographers who shoot RAW and find their files invisible or unopenable, and anyone with video downloaded from somewhere other than a phone camera, where MKV is common and support is not. Everything sits in one library rather than requiring a separate viewer for the awkward files. The app is deliberately light and fast, which shows on older phones and on large libraries where heavier galleries stall while generating thumbnails. Working offline is a stated principle: nothing is uploaded, nothing is synced and no account exists, so the app cannot be slow because of a network and cannot leak anything to a server. The vault locks private photos, videos, files and folders away from the main gallery, protected properly rather than merely hidden in a renamed directory. Slideshows play a folder with adjustable intervals, which is a small feature with a specific use: handing your phone to somebody to look through holiday photographs without them swiping into the rest of your library. Editing tools cover basic adjustments before sharing.
