Not everybody wants a camera app with two hundred filters. Some people want the shutter to appear quickly and the picture to be taken, and this app is built for them. Three modes cover almost everything an ordinary phone camera is used for: photo, video recorder and panorama. Panorama uses smart stitching for the wide shots that a single frame cannot hold, whether that is a landscape or a room you are photographing for a listing. Pinch to zoom works as expected, and a countdown timer handles group photos where somebody has to press the button and then run. The settings that matter are present without being buried. White balance offers incandescent, fluorescent, daylight, cloudy and automatic, which fixes the orange cast that indoor bulbs give everything. Scene modes cover action, night, sunset and play, adjusting how the camera behaves for each situation. Exposure can be adjusted, picture quality selected, and the volume keys configured to do what you want, which is genuinely useful since a physical button is steadier than tapping the screen. The interface adapts between phone and tablet layouts. Wide screen pictures and optional location tagging round it out. It is deliberately modest software: fast, small and focused on taking the photograph rather than decorating it afterwards.
