Getcontact

Getcontact is aimed at anyone tired of calls from unfamiliar numbers. It tells you who is calling even when the number is not in your address book, which helps you decide whether to pick up. That information comes from alerts shared by other users, so the community warns you about unwanted callers.

Its second job is spam protection. The app stops fraud attempts, advertising calls and any numbers you find bothersome before the phone rings. For messages, it can automatically clear junk SMS out of the inbox so that only important notifications stay visible. A secure chat with video calling is also included, and the developer says conversations are end-to-end encrypted.

It suits people who often receive calls from strangers and want to set their own boundaries. An internet connection is needed because number details come from the user community. There is no age restriction: the rating is 3+.
