Rave: Watch Party

Rave is an app for watching movies, series and clips in sync with friends who are far away. You pick a source such as Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, HBO Max, YouTube and other services, create a room and invite people; playback stays synchronized for everyone, and when one person pauses or seeks, the others follow.

While watching you can type in the text chat or talk over voice, exchange reactions and discuss the plot. Rooms can be private for friends or public, where strangers with similar tastes join in. There is also shared music listening and a party mode with a queue of videos.

For paid platforms each participant needs their own subscription; Rave only synchronizes playback and does not distribute content. The app is free with ads, and a premium tier removes them and adds settings. It suits movie nights with friends in other cities and watching matches or concerts together.
