CapCut Pad

CapCut Pad is an edition of the popular video editor reworked for large tablet screens. The main difference from the phone version is a full multi-track timeline with precise trimming of clips, audio, text and effects, a wider workspace and controls designed for a stylus and fingers. In capability it comes close to desktop editing software.

The tools include keyframe animation, smooth slow motion, chroma key, stabilization, color grading, motion tracking and one-tap background removal. Automatic captions recognize speech, text-to-speech turns written lines into a voice, and the library of fonts, stickers, transitions and music is updated regularly. Finished video exports at up to 4K and goes straight to social networks.

The app is free, with some effects and cloud features available through the CapCut Pro subscription. It needs an Android tablet with enough storage: the install package weighs more than 500 MB. It suits bloggers and anyone who edits clips for short-video platforms without a computer.
