About this app

PPSSPP is an emulator of the PSP handheld console for Android. It plays games at a higher resolution and adds options the original device never had. It is written by Henrik Rydgård. This is the free edition; a paid Gold version exists, and buying it supports the continued development of the project.

One thing to know in advance: no games come with it. You play titles that you own, converted into ISO or CSO images and placed in a folder on an SD card or external storage. Free homebrew projects found online work as well. Compatibility is wide but not absolute: results depend on how powerful the device is, and not every title reaches full speed.

It suits people who want to revisit PSP classics on a phone or tablet and are ready to prepare the files themselves. The games and some free storage space are all that is needed to get going.
