RAR

RAR for Android is the official archiver from the makers of WinRAR. The program creates RAR and ZIP archives and opens RAR, ZIP, TAR, GZ, BZ2, XZ, 7z, ISO and ARJ files, with support for ZIPX variants compressed by BZIP2, LZMA, PPMd or XZ as well as password-protected ZIP. A built-in file manager lets you browse device storage, copy, rename and delete files without third-party tools.

Carried over from the full version are the repair command for damaged ZIP and RAR files, recovery records and recovery volumes, multi-volume archives, solid archives, encryption and a benchmark compatible with the WinRAR benchmark. Compression uses several processor cores, so large archives are built quickly on modern phones.

The app is free and lightweight, taking only a few megabytes. It comes in handy for unpacking downloaded archives, packing photos and documents before sending and creating password-protected backups. The interface is simple, free of clutter and available in many languages, including English and Arabic.
