Web Scanner App

Web Scanner App from Droid-Developer is a utility that mirrors the web version of a messenger. It lets you open two accounts on one device, or use a single account on several devices. Sign-in happens through a QR code shown on a web page and read by the built-in scanner.

Besides dual sign-in, the program can save statuses, pictures and videos included, and collect them in a files section. A direct chat mode lets you write to someone without adding them to your contacts. Extras include a dark theme for evening reading, password and fingerprint protection, support for tablets, portrait and landscape layouts, and downloading of files sent in chats. The developer states that no personal data or passwords are collected and that the program is independent and unaffiliated with third-party services.

It suits people who keep work and personal accounts apart and would rather not juggle devices. An internet connection and an existing messenger account are required.
