Alight Motion

Alight Motion is a motion design and video editing tool for phones and tablets. A project is built from layers that can hold vector graphics, bitmaps, video and sound, and each layer has its own set of adjustable settings.

The depth of control is the main draw. A library of basic effect blocks can be stacked into more complex looks, any setting can be animated with keyframes, and masks, colour tools and cameras with pan, zoom and focus blur are included. Parent and child layers can be linked to rig a character, timing curves smooth out movement, and text supports custom fonts. Finished work can be exported as MP4 video, a GIF, a PNG sequence or a still image.

It fits creators, motion designers and students who want to learn animation without a computer. The basic features cost nothing but leave a watermark on exported clips; a paid membership removes it and unlocks a growing set of premium effects. The developer recommends at least 1.5 GB of RAM for smooth performance.
