Blackmagic Camera

Blackmagic Camera gives a smartphone the controls of a digital cinema camera. The interface follows the design of Blackmagic Design hardware, so anyone who has handled professional gear will feel at home. Frame rate, shutter angle, white balance and ISO can each be changed with a single tap, which makes it quick to set up a shot.

The focus is on footage meant for editing later. Clips can be recorded straight to Blackmagic Cloud in industry-standard files with resolution up to 8K, and editors in different places can then work on the same DaVinci Resolve project at once. Some features depend on the handset, so not every mode will appear on every phone.

It suits videographers, camera operators and enthusiasts who want a cinematic look without carrying a separate camera. Recording to the cloud requires an internet connection and a Blackmagic account, while shooting to the phone's own storage does not.
