About this app
Google Find Hub is the updated device-finding service that replaced Find My Device. It shows phones, tablets, Wear OS watches, earbuds and accessories linked to your Google account on a map, including devices that are offline: their position is relayed by a network of millions of nearby Android devices in encrypted form that even Google cannot read.
If a device is nearby, you can play a loud sound. If it is lost, you can lock it remotely, display a message with contact details on the lock screen for whoever finds it, or wipe the data completely. Compatible Bluetooth tags from third-party makers are supported, so keys, bags and bikes can be tracked as well.
The second part of the app is location sharing with people you trust: you can share your live position for a while to meet up with a friend or make sure a child got home safely. You control the access and can switch it off at any time. The app is free and requires a Google account with location enabled.
