Xender

Xender is one of the most popular tools for sharing files between devices. The app creates a direct Wi-Fi link between phones and transfers data without mobile internet, cables or size limits: apps, videos, music, photos, documents, archives and whole folders. Speed reaches 40 MB/s, hundreds of times faster than Bluetooth.

It works between Android devices, with iPhone and iPad, and with Windows and Mac computers through a web interface in the browser: to move photos to a laptop or movies to the phone you just scan a code. The phone switch feature carries contacts, messages and apps to a new device in a single session.

Received videos and music can be watched and listened to right inside the app, a built-in converter extracts audio from video into MP3, and the file manager helps sort storage and clear what is not needed. The app is free and ad-supported, with more than two billion users worldwide.
